This holiday season is a very special time, often associated with family, friends, and good food. It can also be a difficult time for some as they face eviction, grief, depression, and other painful times. Please join us as we partner with Smoke Rise Baptist church in their annual Thanksgiving Basket project. The goal is to stuff at least 100 baskets for the Stone Mountain and Lilburn co-ops. With SRP partnering with SRB and the neighboring community I know we can make this a reality.
If you would like to go a little further, basket stuffing will take place on Sunday evening, Nov. 19th, following the Smoke Rise Baptist’s Annual Thanksgiving Banquet which begins at 6:00pm. Food is now being collected until November 17th. See the list below for the list of items that have been asked to donate. You may also bring other items from the list and/or donate $10-$15 gift cards for meat. Please turn items into the large black containers labeled for Thanksgiving collection that are in the lobby and around the church.
