At SRP Parent Volunteer, we understand how hard it can be to balance family life and volunteer work. That’s why we offer an array of volunteer opportunities that make it easy for parents to get involved and help out in their community. Whether you have a few hours a week or just a few minutes a month, we have something for everyone. Every family with a student at SRP is required to donate 20 hours of volunteer time per term.

Lead Volunteer Positions

Silent Auction
(20 Hours)

The Silent Auction is our biggest annual fundraiser! The Silent Auction chair will send out pre-made donation letters in November, audit the donations received, and work with Mrs. Khemani to set up the auction items at our Casino Night in the Spring.

Teacher Appreciation
(20 Hours)

SRP Parents are committed to recognizing the invaluable work of teachers and the amazing impact they have on our students and society. Teacher Appreciation Week is an annual event that celebrates the dedicated efforts of teachers across the country. As the lead, you will be in charge of organizing the week-long event.

Cultural Night
(20 Hours)

As a lead volunteer, you will have the chance to lead and organize families that want to share their culture through food, cultural artifact displays, and a fashion show. Our mission is to foster a safe and inclusive environment that celebrates each family’s unique customs and traditions.

Chili Cook-Off
(20 Hours)

Chili Cook-Off, parents are invited to showcase their family’s special chili recipe and let the public decide whose chili recipe is the best. As the lead, you will be in charge of organizing and managing the event.

SRP Sunday Classroom Set Up is a volunteer opportunity that gives parents the chance to work together to help set up all the classrooms for the upcoming class week.

Library Mystery Reader

Library Mystery Reader is a volunteer opportunity that provides parents the opportunity to read stories to the students at their local library. A great way for parents to interact with their children and give back to the community.

Thanksgiving Catered Lunch

Our Thanksgiving Catered Lunch will be from 12 pm- 1 pm on November 16th! Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Volunteers should arrive by 11:15 am if setting up!
